On paper it was hard not choose the Friars. In reality it all went wrong for Providence as they dropped their first conference game of the season. South Florida blocked 15 shots, created 12 turnovers, and made 9 threes on their way to victory. For Providence there was nothing to take positively from the game. It is the first game the Friars have dropped in the Big East and also their first home game. Many Friar fans and possibly players were looking forward to the matchup next week with UConn and it seemed to haunt them.
