Chicago, IL -
In one of the most bizarre games of recent memory, the Friars use a 16-0 run to start the game and ice cold shooting from DePaul to earn their 12th victory of the season. DePaul shot an astonishingly low 24% from the field and finished the game with 12 field goals. If it wasn't for 23-30 from the free throw line, DePaul may have been held under 40 points. Poor shot selection and lack of inside presence really hurt, what is one of the weakest teams in the Big East Conference. Providence on the other hand, took care of business shooting 10-20 from downtown. Providence now improves to 12-2 (2-0) with a home date against rival Boston College. Boston College who bolted for the ACC back in the early 2000's is making their first trip back to Providence as a member of the Big East.
