The Friars faced a tough battle from the in city rivals, but prevailed with a strong effort in the second half to improve to 5-2. PC trailed by 6 at the half, but was able to control the pace in the second half and sneak out of the Pizzitola Center with a victory. Cooley was proud of his guys after the game especially his Frosh Kris Dunn. "It may not show up in the box score, but he had some key contributions tonight which helped us get the win." The Friars were led Kadeem Batts with 14 points and 6 rebounds, while Brice Kofane nearly had his first collegiate double double with 9 points and 10 boards. PC who does not leave the state of Rhode Island until January will play host to in state rival Rhode Island on Tuesday night at the Dunk.
