RPI 50-100 (3-3)
101-200 (11-4)
RPI 201+ (4-0)

Bad Losses: @ Temple #115

@ Xavier #181
Georgetown 180

The good news for Providence is they are still on the bubble and have two other bubble teams left on the schedule. Cincinatti which just recently dropped from the top of the Big East standings now sits squarely on the bubble with UConn. Providence has games against both opponents in the upcoming week.

It is also evident the weak Big East is hurting the top teams in the conference. Providence has now only played a total of 9 games vs. the RPI top 100. Providence in comparison play 17 last year. Providence also played 8 teams in the top 50 compared to three this year. What is helping them out however is an early season road victory against a Marquette team leading the conference by two games and still remains the conferences only ranked team. They are currently ranked 20th. If Marquette were to drop from the rankings and be replaced by no team it would be the first time the conference did not have a ranked team since the 90's.
