Providence, RI -

Once again Providence gives an opportunity to make up ground in the Big East race allowing Georgetown to shoot a staggering 58% from the field while only mustering up 39%. Providence fell behind early and failed to get any closer than 9 points in the second half. Georgetown shot a high percentage from the field, but also scored 46  points in the pain which ultimately sunk Providence. The Frairs will now have to travel to Cincinatti to take on Xavier in which now becomes a must win for Providence. Georgetown who entered this game with an alarming RPI of 218 now adds a very poor loss to the Friars resume.
